More School Help: Not a specific book

Posted by whyintellectual on 2014.09.14 at 17:26
The school's National English Honor Society has grown so large that we are getting nerdy and going the route of Harry Potter and splitting into houses every other meeting. I am in charge of the "Current Trends" house for the kiddos and my group will be focusing on what is currently popular in Literature and Publishing.

We already have a Doom and Gloom house for dystopian and post-apocalyptic works.
We already have a Chick Lit/Teens house for popular women's/youth fiction.
We already have a Poetry house and a Shakespeare house...

So I am stuck on what to look at. Can any of you offer any suggestions for trends in Literature and Publishing that I can look at?

Code Name Verity, too.

I've also seen a lot of zombies lately, though they may be on their way out.

And I second the urban fantasy and paranormal romance suggestions below.
